About the Young Adult Ministry

What is a Small Group?

Young Adult Small Groups consist of anywhere from four to twelve individuals and meet weekly for relationship building, accountability, and discipleship. Small Groups are the place where young adults are connected and cared for by their peers. Balanced spiritual growth requires both an intimate quiet time alone with God, and a time to connect to fellow believers. While Sunday Worship is a very important time of corporate worship it does not provide the time, or correct environment to make this deeper connection with others. Small Groups are our way of providing every believer at our church with a deeper support network of believers.

How are Young Adult Small Groups organized?

We realize that not everyone is at the same stage of life. If you are just beginning college you are facing very different obstacles than a couple who has just bought their first home or someone who is jumping head first into their career. So, it is our goal to have a small group specifically designed to support you in whatever stage of life you are currently in.

How do I join a Small Group?

We have Small Groups that meet in homes throughout the week. There are two ways to get involved into a Young Adult Small Group. First, attend one of our monthly Young Adult events. This will give you an opportunity to meet several people from various Young Adult Small Groups and make a connection with other young adults prior to attending and committing to a particular Small Group. Second, contact Pastor Chris at ChrisD@ChristCommunity.cc and he will be happy to share with you the options for small groups that best meet your needs.
